Step 1 - Information gathering

In order to provide you with the most accurate quotation possible we need you to tell us all of your requirements and specifications for your website. This includes information such as how many pages you would like? Would you like a straightforward brochure website to promote your company or services, maybe you would like to manage the content of your website yourself, in this case you would need a content managed system (CMS) or if you would like to sell your products online then you would require an ecommerce site? All of this information allows us and you to clearly identify what you need and gives us a better picture of your requirements. During this consultation process will make recommendation based on our vast experience to make your site a success.

step 2

Step 2 - Discussion with the web designer

One of our web designers will then ask a few questions such as do you have an existing logo? Are there any websites which you like the look of? Do you have a preferred colour scheme? List of pages on your website etc. This is so they can gather as much information as possible to create a design which is totally right for you. Don't worry if you can’t answer any of these questions as the web designer will give you as much advice as you need.

step 3

Step 3 - Your personalised website quotation

Once we have assessed your website requirements you will receive a quote which will be detailed and broken down into sections so you can see exactly what you are paying for. This will be sent out usually by email within 24 hours after we receive your initial requirements. You can call us to discuss this quotation at any time with no obligation to proceed. To accompany the quote we usually provide a sample design that our designer has produced to give us a base in which to work from. This enables you to see that we have understood your requirements and you can also see the quality of our work in advance before paying a single penny.

step 4

Step 4 - Your initial website design

If you give us the green light to proceed the web designer will create an initial website design based on your requirements. This is created as a flat file with no interaction but you will be able to get a feel for how the website will look. We produce the design in this format because it is much easier to edit so we can easily make amends where necessary. When the design is complete the web designer will email you a link you your website design so you can view it.

We hope you will be very happy with the design but if there are certain aspects you don't like then please feel free to say and the designer will amends where necessary and contact you with a further draft. The whole design process usually takes about 2 days depending on the number of changes that are required.

step 6

Step 6 - Website build & content gathering

Once you are happy with the design the web designer can start building the website in HTML and create all of the pages. During this stage the web designer will contact you to gather the content for each page. This can be sent to us in a simple word document or via email, also if you have any images that you would like to be added to the site please send these across too. If you want videos or other large media formats adding to your site and they are too large to email we can give you our domain details and you can upload them to our server, alternatively just copy them onto a CD and put them in the post.

If you do see anything you would like changing please just drop us an email and let us know. If you don't supply any images for your site we will find professional images on your behalf and add these in as temporary files (with watermark). The cost of these images is FREE with your website so don't worry about incurring extra costs. If you don't feel these image are right for you we can supply you with the address to our image supplier and you can choose the images you require.

step 8

Step 8 - Converting to content managed or ecommerce

Once you are completely happy you can send the developer your domain details (username and password) so they can make your website live.

step 10

Step 10 - Support & Advice

The CMS is a website where you can update your website without knowing any HTML. If you have any other questions at this point please feel free to ask and if there is anything you get stuck with we are always at the end of the phone to help.
